Chalice Sounds is the Praise Band for Marple Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), (MCC), in Broomall, PA.  Currently, we perform four times a year at contemporary services.  We perform the first Sunday in February, May, August, and November.  MCC has contemporary-style services the first of every month.  We will sometimes step in to a limited role in some of these other contemporary services if requested by the service's musical coordinator.

During 2004, we also performed in a "coffee house" setting at the church in April.  We played 20 songs over three sets.  The second set was a sing-a-long with the audience.  We also traveled to Johnstown, PA in June of 2004 to play at the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Regional Assembly.  We co-performed five songs as part of a sing-a-long and also played five other songs as a performance.

We play a variety of songs, from classic hymns, to original contemporary songs, to popular contemporary songs.  We currently have 6 original songs with a few more in the works.  We also have a few original arrangements of popular contemporary Christian songs.  Finally, we have played over 30 classic hymns as part of services and sing-a-longs.
